Clothing to play in – we got you covered!
In 1983, after studying Pharmacy, Agriculture and finally Paper Technology Craig sailed from Durban to Brazil, up to the Caribbean, Bermuda and finally Newport RI – arriving in the middle of the Americas Cup Trials. Sometime during his two years of cruising the concept of designing and manufacturing specialized clothing for sailors was born.
In 1987 the logo was designed, the business registered and a sewing machine was bought!
From humble beginnings, today we occupy our own premises near Durban’s two prime yacht clubs, we have manufactured foul-weather clothing that has sailed to the Arctic & Antarctic, climbed Mt. Everest, participated in the Olympics, gone fishing, hiking, rowing, paddling and strolled in the park.
We have grown with each phase in the evolution of specialised fabrics….we were the first in South Africa to use coated breathable fabrics. We have developed Oceantex, our own tri-laminate fabric which has truly incredible performance specs.
What makes us unique is our ability to manufacture small and specific orders. This means that teams have the opportunity to design their own corporate image which we interpret into team clothing. This concept is proving very popular in South Africa and we look forward to working with teams internationally.
|Yours in fair and foul weather.|
